Dr. Scott McDearmont grew up in the Lewisville area.  He is a charter graduate of Marcus High School.  His service to the local community began as an emergency room volunteer at Lewisville hospital in 1989. Except for four years at Texas A&M University (1988-1992), Dr. McDearmont has been a Denton County resident since 1984.


He met his wife DeAnna in 1990 and they were married in 1993. Their son, Ryan, was born while Dr. McDearmont was in medical school at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.  After medical school, Dr. McDearmont completed his surgical residency at UT Southwestern affiliated hospitals in Dallas. His daughter Kaitlyn was born in 2000.  He began his surgery practice in 2001 in Southern Denton County.

Since beginning his surgical practice, Dr. McDearmont has become increasingly involved in the local community. He stays involved in performing arts including dance, theater, and voice with Ryan and Kaitlyn. He is proud to support local public schools/PTA in LISD.  His parents, in-laws, and sister's family all still live in the area. Dr. McDearmont and his family are regular fosters for abandoned kittens as well. Dr. McDearmont is excited about the future of the local medical community and looks forward to serving its health care needs for years to come.
